The InventionEdit

The Rubik's Cube is invented by Ernö Rubik. He made it in the spring of 1974 in his home town of Budapest, Hungary. He was working to help explain three-dimensional geometry and then he ended up creating the world’s best selling toy.

Rubik called his invention "Magic Cube", but was later renamed by the Ideal Toy Corporation in 1980.

Nowadays, more than 30 million Rubik's Cubes have been sold all over the world. Rubik's Cube have promoted in hundreds of books, movies, magazines and because of its famousness, they have their own TV series! Millions of webpages, blogs and videos are now related to cubing.
